Quick Guide to writing a thank you note

It should be a simple concept – expressed gratitude for a gift, thoughtful act, etc. – but many people find difficult or intimidating to write and send thank you cards. Some are too anxious that their notes are not perfect enough that only the end is not sending them at all. For others, the best thing to do is to send pre-written messages for comfort.

• Try to remember where you were when you received the gift. What were you doing at that moment? So now, you can start saying something like: “When I went to my office and start my computer, I was surprised to find your gift sitting on top of the monitor.”
